The annual Hoyle lecture “Evolving Geographies of Transport in the City: Towards Nexus Thinking” will be given by Professor Peter Jones (UCL) on Thursday 1st September from 16:50-18:30 in the Sir Alexander Fleming Building, Lecture Theatre G34 and will be followed by the Hoyle Drinks reception in the RGS-IBG Sunley Room, kindly sponsored by Elsevier. Additionally we are also very excited that for the first time the Transactions of the Institute of British Geographers Lecture will be given by a transport geographer, Dr Tim Schwanen. Tim’s lecture is called: Thinking complex interconnectivities: transition, nexus and geography. Tim has been actively involved in TGRG over a number of years and has been editor in chief of the Journal of Transport Geography. He is director of the Transport Studies Unit at the University of Oxford. Tim’s lecture is on Wednesday Session 2 (11:10-12:50) in the RGS-IBG Ondaatje Theatre.
